Terms of Service

Effective 2 September 2026

These terms govern your use of the Cogenity command-line tool, website, and Cogenity Pro. By using Cogenity, you agree to these terms.

Who provides Cogenity

Cogenity is provided by Kenneth Lynne AS, organization number 823 450 532, Toftes gate 43C, 0552 Oslo, Norway. “We” means Kenneth Lynne AS. “You” means the person or organization using Cogenity.

The service

Cogenity keeps separate local profiles for Claude Code and Codex and starts the provider you choose with the selected profile. Three accounts are free in total across both providers. Provider credentials stay on your device and provider sessions run directly between your device and the provider.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the official Cogenity executable for your own development work, subject to these terms and third-party notices distributed with it.

Cogenity Pro and billing

Cogenity Pro costs US$5 per month and unlocks the fourth and later accounts. Taxes may be added at checkout. The subscription renews each month until you cancel. The checkout shows the final amount before you pay.

Creem is the merchant of record. Creem collects payment, calculates and remits applicable indirect taxes, issues invoices, handles refunds and chargebacks, and provides its customer portal. Creem's Buyer Terms also apply to the purchase. If these product terms conflict with mandatory law or Creem's buyer terms for the sale, those rules take priority.

Run cogenity billing to open subscription management. When Creem reports a cancellation, pause, refund, dispute, or expiry, Cogenity Pro access can stop immediately. Your local profiles remain, but accounts beyond the free limit stay locked. Ask hello@kenneth.ly about a refund. Refunds follow Creem's buyer terms and any mandatory consumer rights.

Acceptable use

You must not:

Third-party services

Claude Code, Codex, Homebrew, GitHub, Creem, and other linked services have their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for your provider accounts and for following those terms. Cogenity does not control provider availability, limits, prices, or account decisions. Not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI.

Availability and changes

We may release updates, change or remove features, or stop supporting an old version. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We will give reasonable notice of a material subscription or price change when the law requires it. A price change does not alter an already paid billing period.

Liability

Cogenity is provided as available and without guarantees beyond those required by law. To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost data, or provider account decisions. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for Cogenity Pro during the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. This limit does not exclude liability that the law does not let us exclude.

Ending access

You can stop using Cogenity at any time. We may suspend or end access when you materially breach these terms, misuse the service, or create a security or legal risk. Sections that must remain effective by their nature continue after access ends.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Mandatory consumer law in your country still applies. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute. A dispute that cannot be resolved is handled by the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable law.
